What IS Coaching?

Coaching is a relationship between the Coach and client that moves the client from where they are, to where they want to be. Coaching is based on the fundamental assumption that each client, created in the image of God, is inherently resourceful and creative.

 

What is Coaching NOT?

Coaching is not counseling, treatment, advice-giving, mentoring, teaching or discipling. Coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, treatment for mental illness, substance abuse or Eating Disorders, recovery from past abuse, professional medical or financial advice or legal counsel.

 

What is the difference between Coaching and Counseling?

Counseling is a wonderful resource for healing hurts from the past and coming to a place of greater wholeness to live in the present. Coaching is highly beneficial for moving forward from that place of health into the future.

 

Counseling digs deep and lends great insight into how we have understood ourselves and our world. Coaching translates that insight into action, shaping your current and future life. Coaching is present-future and action-oriented.

How long is each session?

The initial session is 90 minutes. In that first session we take the time got get a thorough history, set goals and create a Coaching Plan. Each subsequent session is 60 minutes long.

 

How often are sessions?

It depends on you and your personal Intuitive Eating journey, your goals, your schedule, and your budget. We can meet once a week, every-other week, or once a month.

What if I miss, or need to cancel, a scheduled session?

 

You will be refunded for sessions cancelled at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. Cancellations within 48 hours of your session will be considered a missed session and you not be refunded.

 

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held over video chat or the phone.

 

Is there a minimum/maximum number of sessions?

The Intuitive Eating process is different for everybody so there is no maximum or minimum number of sessions.

 

How do you track goals and progress?

As the client, you will decide your overall Coaching focus(es) and goal(s). You can have any number of goals during our time Coaching together and you have the freedom to change them over time as we work together.  I will create a working document that tracks your goals and progress which I will share with you within 48 hours after each session. This document is your road map of where you have been and where you are going.

 

How much does Coaching cost?

The initial 90 minute extended Coaching session is $120. Each subsequent 60 minute Coaching session is $80.

 

How do I pay for my sessions?

I accept credit card payments through Stripe. You pay for your session when you schedule it.
